Tasting the Iranian Flavors and Family Life

Shiraz has some local food that you shouldn't miss at all. I want to invite you to come to our house, and join us for lunch to taste the real shirazi food. During this lunch I will explain you 2 kinds of food cooked by my mother, and how they are cooked. I will also explain you about the special spices that we use in our gastronomy, and many things about our foods that you can only hear from a local. On top of this gastronomic experience, we will have time for poetry and culture, as I will explain you about our poems, read them, and also about our traditional culture and the events that we have. Hi. I'm Shima and I work in the tourism industry. Besides our own job, my family and I have a local family business. My mother is a teacher and also a good cooker, so we offer cooking classes by her. My father is retired and also a good driver, so he help us with transportation. My my sister and best friend is an art teacher and artist, so we offer art workshop by her. My husband is self-employed and is good at adventure, so he helps us to organize some nature tours.
