Catania is a welcoming and warm city, like the volcano that dyes it black. It is rich in historical buildings and colourful markets, but especially in people who relax watching Etna while enjoying a cannolo or an arancino . Everyone knows it as the "city of the Elephant", but its ancient and interesting history will surprise you : the charm of the Greek foundation, the rigor of the Roman urban structure, the elegant 18th century palaces and the historic markets in the beating heart of the city center.
