Free tour in Bern: old town, legends and fun facts

The 1.5 hours in my care are a mixture of general history of the city, exciting legends, fun facts and the discovery of a district and places that you would hardly come into contact with as a tourist. This means that we will not address hotspots such as the Parliament building, Bärenpark and Zytglogge.

The tour starts at the rose garden with a beautiful view of Bern. After a brief introduction, we head down the slope towards the Matte district.

There you will learn, among other things, why Bern was important for the production of chocolate, why the inhabitants of the Matte district spoke their own language and which famous lovers let themselves be pampered by maids in Badgasse.
